Its clean, sculptural form is enhanced by thoughtful details, including integrated S-hooks and a rimmed top surface—features that expand its use beyond seating to include storage and everyday organization.

Lightweight yet durable, the stool’s two-piece construction reflects Owen’s focus on efficient, purposeful design. Made from linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) with 25% post-consumer recycled material, it is built for long-term use while supporting more sustainable manufacturing practices.

Care

Cleaning
For everyday cleaning, wipe with a soft, damp cloth and a non-abrasive, bleach-free cleaner. For tougher marks, use a mild detergent (such as dish soap diluted in warm water) and a soft brush. Dry with a soft cloth or chamois.

UV Exposure
Made from UV-stabilized low-density polyethylene (LDPE), this product is designed for outdoor use. Like all polyethylene, prolonged exposure to extreme conditions may cause wear over time. In extreme temperatures (below 15°F or above 100°F), we recommend covering when not in use to help preserve the finish.

Polishing & Scratches
To maintain the original finish, use a plastic polish such as NOVUS® Plastic Clean & Polish. For high-traffic use, polish monthly; for normal use, every 2–3 months. This can help minimize the appearance of minor scratches and wear.

Josh Owen

Josh Owen stands at the crossroads of innovative design and influential education. A graduate of Cornell University (BA, BFA) and Rhode Island School of Design (MFA), Owen's distinguished career is marked by a seamless blend of practical design and academic rigor. As the Vignelli Distinguished Professor of Design and Director at the Vignelli Center for Design Studies at RIT, Owen imparts his deep understanding of design to the next generation. His tenure as Director of the Industrial Design Department at RIT saw the inception of the acclaimed Metaproject course, a testament to his educational prowess.
