Available in three sizes and now an expanded palette of sixteen colors, the indoor-outdoor Vignelli Bench is equally at home next to a pool, in an entryway or hotel lobby, on a tennis or pickleball court, or at a dining table.

When designers Lella and Massimo Vignelli couldn't find multi-purpose indoor-outdoor furniture for their home in Italy, they decided to create their own. Known for their ability to bring clarity and timelessness to everything they created, their durable, functional, and modern Vignelli Bench is a sculptural addition to any setting. Suitable for residential, hospitality, and office environments – indoors and out – this bench is a low maintenance, colorful, long-lasting piece that's made in USA.

Expanded Color Palette

We're proud to introduce six new colors to the iconic Vignelli Collection: Slate, Turquoise, Celadon, Citron, Ochre, and Brown. These thoughtfully curated hues complement the original palette, allowing for creative combinations and multi-piece installations. The balance of muted and saturated tones enables these sculptural pieces to live in diverse environments while maintaining visual cohesion with existing Vignelli pieces.

All new colors are now made from recycled content and feature our Worry Free Plastics technology, with material that transforms completely at the end of its lifecycle, leaving no environmental trace.

This hollow bench weighs 40–53 pounds, but if you'd like to add sand for even more wind resistance, there is a hole with removable plug on the underside. We recommend using dry play sand that can be purchased at most hardware or landscape material stores.

Care

For minor spots Heller recommends a damp soft cloth and non abrasive bleach free cleaner.
For heavier marks a mild bleach free detergent (such as dishwashing liquid diluted in warm water) and soft brush with will be sufficient. Wipe excess water off with a chamois.

UV Exposure

Our rotationally molded product is manufactured from Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) with UV stabilizers. All polyethylenes are susceptible to degradation upon long term exposure; the result is the material becomes brittle. UV stabilizers act to absorb, transfer, and reflect UV. It is recommended in extreme weather (defined as below 15°F and above 100°F) the items be covered when not in use to prolong the finish of the material.

Polishing and Scratches

We recommend polishing the Furniture with NOVUS® Plastic Clean & Polish once a month for high traffic uses; every two the three months for normal use.

This helps to maintain the original finish and can help to hide minor scratches and wear.

Lella and Massimo Vignelli are arguably the world's most influential designers. They brought clarity and coherence to innumerable projects. Massimo Vignelli began his training as a 16-year-old draftsman at the Architects Castiglione in Milano. There he learned Adolf Loos' axiom that an architect should be able to design everything from the spoon to the city.
