The Name Behind the Brand
Holger Graf, with a Ph.D. in structural engineering, and Daniel Lantz, who immersed himself in Japan’s Shokunin craft traditions, brought together their unique perspectives to create Graf Lantz in Los Angeles. Inspired by a shared love for craftsmanship and unconventional materials, they began reimagining merino wool — a heritage textile — into refined, modern forms. Each piece is designed to endure and evolve beautifully over time, balancing art, function, and sustainability.

“We didn’t start with a mission — it evolved alongside us,” Graf and Lantz say. “Keeping things simple, natural, and different was all we knew at the time. Now, it’s everything we care about.
