Modern design and classic proportions meet to make this exquisite pendant. Designed by renowned Finnish designer Maija Puoskari, it resembles the rounded, organic shape of an acorn — known as “terho” in Finnish. The natural warmth of linden wood beautifully complements the opal glass, which is mouth-blown in Poland.

Warranty & Care

Two-year warranty. 

All glass in the Mater lighting collection is mouth-blown and handcrafted by skilled craftsmen in the Czech Republic, which ensures that each item is unique and has its own character. Examples of characteristics of mouth-blown glass are minor air bubbles and variations in form and thickness. Since the process is performed by hand, slight deviations in color may occur from item to item.  

Daily cleaning of glass is best with a dry, soft cloth. If more cleaning is necessary, use a soft cloth in combination with a standard glass cleaning detergent, and dry with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents on glass, as this will damage the surface.

Some assembly required. Hardwire (professional installation recommended). UL: E12 (Small), E26 (Medium and Large).

Bulb not included. Do not use incandescent bulbs as the wooden component will cause overheating. Max 6W LED. 220-240V. ac 50Hz. 

Returns

Returns must be initiated within 10 days from order receipt and are subject to a 30% restocking fee.

Meet Mater

Innovative Danish brand Mater reuses everything from coffee shells to plastic waste to create their sustainable designs. Based in Copenhagen since 2006, they’ve long championed an approach to manufacturing that prioritizes minimal environmental impact. Their name means “mother” in Latin, signaling a promise to honor Mother Earth through high-quality pieces with timeless simplicity.

Designer Spotlight

Before Finnish designer Maija Puoskari studied design, she was a florist. Her current work draws inspiration from nature and is characterized by a strong sense of pure form mixed with functionality and precise finishing. She works widely with various design and exhibition projects while running her design studio in Kallio, Helsinki.
