Zody Executive Chair

Zody is a story of firsts. It’s one of the first chairs ever to fully support two postures: sitting, and the in-between “perch” position that’s half sitting, half standing at a sit-to-stand desk. And it’s the first chair to satisfy the most stringent environmental standard: Cradle to Cradle Bronze® certification. In a nutshell, this is the most researched chair on the market. Ever. This edition is built with a headrest for even more neck and shoulder support.

Details

Zody is designed to accommodate a sitting position and a “perch” position when your standing desk is raised. This optional adjustment supports the in-between posture that’s half sitting, half standing. But you don’t need a sit-to-stand desk to love this chair — it’s pure comfort both ways. The headrest offers additional support in both positions.

Built with over 20 years of independent field studies and knowledge, it’s the most researched chair on the market. The exclusive asymmetrical lumbar support mimics the anatomy of your spine and lets you fine-tune comfort on either side. Additional pelvic support rotates the pelvis forward to help maintain your spine’s natural curves as you sit.

And it’s not only good for your body. It’s good for the planet, too. This is the first chair ever to be Cradle to Cradle Bronze® certified — the most rigorous environmental standard for products that can be fully reused after their first life. It’s also GREENGUARD Gold® certified and independently tested to be free from over 10,000 chemicals to help contribute to cleaner air in your home.

Try it at home for 30 days. If you decide to return it, the shipping’s on us.

Sit, Stand or Somewhere In Between

Zody is one of the first chairs (ever!) to offer a dual posture option. That means it ergonomically supports two positions: sitting down, and that in-between “perch” position that’s half sitting, half standing. (If you have a sit-to-stand desk, you know what we mean.)

Genuinely Sustainable

Zody is the first chair ever to be Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze under the newest qualifications. This is the most ambitious standard yet for making products that enable an equitable and sustainable future for people and the planet. Zody also satisfies the most stringent level of environmental standards from the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association.

GREENGUARD Gold® Certified

Zody is independently tested to be free from over 10,000 chemicals to help contribute to cleaner air in your home. It’s considered the most stringent standard for ensuring products are low in VOC emissions, which can lead to healthier indoor environments. Short for volatile organic compounds, VOCs are chemicals emitted as gasses into the air. The most common exposure is in our homes.

Environmental Integrity

Our chairs are crafted with more than 90% recyclable materials. That means almost the entire thing can be broken down to be recycled — and they’re designed for easy disassembly, so recycling is hassle free. We don’t use PVC, heavy metals, or flame retardants to make our chairs.

Been about nine months of owning my Zody full featured all option Executive chair

The chair is a cut above many others out there mostly because it can what others do not and that is dual position option or made to be used with multi-level sitting and/or standing desks. Quit uniquely designed and made well. Of course, not all is perfect but very few products are. I opted to negated the original 4 position arm rests and they customed reordered a replacement chair with simple heigh adjustment armrest. Why? The 4-position arm rest are loosey-goosey and rattly, noisy sloppy. But, please its certainly is not only Haworth chairs all of them no matter the price points have the same situation with their arm rests with so many reviews mentioning this dilemma. Some are worse as complaints of just how slight bumping or arm movement and the adjustments is all over the place. Haworth 4-way armrest at least stay put until you wish to change their positions. Understand chair companies order from vendors most of the parts that makeup the entire chair. And armrest vendors seem all the same meaning there is probably only a couple who actual make them for chair companies spec or offer A B or C quality & design class of their products much like automobile vendor parts usually the bean counters have the last say. The Zody chair has just right and smart number of important adjustments and not overly burdened by all kinds of buttons and knobs handles and such with moving parts that certainly will become problems over a short period of time. Like a high-end cars, the more options and goodies the more problems. The head rest on the executive chair like mine is okay, but as I mentioned to Hayworth what did you not for the money order from you parts vendor the adjustable tilt backward ~ forward not just sliding up and down. Seriously the added expense would have been minute ordered in volume like from Atlas chair headrests. Optional two locking caster wheels should be standard. Why, because we humans like to put out legs up on desks and maybe other things in a restful way we do and the chair without locking casters wheels zip out from under, that’s why. Several other chair companies do offer locking casters wheels a few have them as standard. In reality you only need two out of the five to lock. I ordered and install locking caster wheels. All and all the Haworth Zody chair is among the very best out there and the dual position is king with the forward and down seat tilt and multi height for adjustable desks. Remember to go over the list of offerings for the Zody chair and ask question of the Haworth sales folks as they are excellent, very friendly knowledgeable and accommodating, something that is a rarity these days. Also remember your chair is a made in the USA product. Granted there are parts that are probably from the Pacific rim region but at least it’s more American than many others.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for the Zody Executive Chair. We are glad to hear that you have been enjoying the dual position option and the unique design of the chair. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the loose 4-position arm rests and we appreciate your feedback. We are happy to make the necessary adjustments to ensure your satisfaction. We also appreciate your suggestions for the head rest and locking caster wheels and will take them into consideration for future improvements. Thank you for choosing Haworth and we hope you continue to enjoy your Zody Executive Chair.

Switched from HM Aeron

I usually don't provide reviews, although I read them to make decisions on products to buy, but I decided to take a chance on a brand other than HM as the usual office standard chairs. I'm self-employed and work from home now, but my last company had HM Aeron's and a few Embody's. I'm a bit stocky, so having the size chair to fit was important as well as good lumbar due old back injury.

I initially bought an Embody for home, and after a year or so, sold it because the back didn't have the lumbar support I needed. I couldn't get comfortable. I shifted back to an Aeron and used it for a couple of years, but it basically became uncomfortable to sit in. The mesh bottom is great for in office seating but extended days at home, not so much.

After experiencing discomfort and inadequate support from the Herman Miller Aeron chair due to my body situation, I decided to take a chance on the Zody office chair. Unlike the Aeron, the Zody offers adjustable lumbar support and a pelvic tilt mechanism that caters specifically to my needs, ensuring proper posture and significantly reducing strain on my injured lower back. The Aeron is adjustable but it's basically a hard block that you can slide up and down. I liked the "punch" of it in my lower back, but the Zody's version is more subtle. At first I was dubious, but the more I use the chair, the more it's grown on me, and I like it. The only change I would make is to be able to push it more into the back at the tightest adjustment, but I like the variable tension on each side. Although minor, only other thing I'd like is the ability to lock the position of the arm rests. Lean on them a little bit and out they go.

While the Herman Miller Aeron is undeniably a popular choice among office chairs, its design doesn't accommodate all body types equally. The Haworth Zody, however, provides customizable options that adapt to various builds, making it an ideal choice for someone with my physical requirements. I would add that I prefer the ability to slide the seat bed back and forth for added seat bed length. The Aeron is what you see is what you get and the front lip dug into my legs after a while.

The Zody's design and high-quality materials not only add a touch of sophistication to my workspace but also ensure long-lasting durability. The Haworth Zody office chair has proven to be a superior seating solution for me, offering the essential support and comfort I need to maintain good posture and enhance productivity throughout the day. It also has a great price point compared to a brand new Aeron, and more adjustable

My Aeron is about 20 years old and original equipment and still going strong, so I'm hoping the Zody will do the same. Time will tell but all in all, I'm happy with my choice.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We are so happy to hear that the Zody office chair has been a great fit for you, especially with its adjustable lumbar support and pelvic tilt mechanism. We understand how important it is to have a comfortable and supportive chair, especially for those with previous injuries. We appreciate your feedback about being able to lock the position of the arm rests and will definitely consider this for future improvements. We're glad to have you as a satisfied customer and we hope the Zody continues to provide you with a comfortable sitting experience.

Great chair

Great chair overall. The only complaint I have is on the headset which is a bit too hard. Also, one of the screws for the headset became a bit loose after a few days, but I cannot really open the cover and tighten the screw, which affects the experience.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Zody Executive Chair. We're glad to hear that you are enjoying the chair overall. We apologize for the issue you experienced with the headset. Our team will make sure to look into this and see if there are any adjustments that can be made. If you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We want to ensure that you have the best experience with our product.
