Perfect to Relieve Low Back Pain

I'm a 5'3 female that experiences really bad, lower back pain and has a joint hypermobility disorder. These are the features that make this chair perfect for me:

Forward tilt: I get extreme lower back pain, especially in my SI joints, because I lean forward to get close to my monitors. The forward tilt tilts both the seat and the back of the chair, so I'm now fully supported and my pain is relieved. I also like that the perch function encourages me to use my standing desk more since I can plop down on the seat to take a short rest when my posture starts to get bad.

Lumbar support: The lumbar support is minimal, but I like it that way. It's enough that you can just feel the support without it feeling like you're being pushed/stabbed.

Soft/flexible armrests: the armrests are firm but squishy. No sharp angles or hardness, so you won't feel like you're leaning on a rock.

Firm but comfy seat: at first, I thought the seat was a bit too firm, but over a couple of weeks, it really started to mold to my body and now I love it. I have a bony butt so the fact that I've found a seat that I like without having to put an extra cushion on it is a miracle. The seat is also large enough that I can sit crisscrossed or with one leg up.

Other thoughts:
Love the look, sleek but modern (I got the Steel upholstered color - be aware that it's more of a blue gray than a straight gray, and the fabric has a tiny arrow pattern rather than just a regular upholstered pattern)

No feeling of a gap when I pull the seat forward.

Just about the right height for my 5'3" height. It's still a hair tall, so I'd suggest a foot rest if you're about 5'5" or shorter.

Overall thoughts: There's nothing on this chair that I dislike. The only teeny tiny downside is that I wish it could go 2 inches lower, but considering most other chairs I looked at were way too tall , I'll take it . Otherwise, it ticks every box that I needed in order to fulfill my number one goal: relieve my lower back pain. If that's something you're struggling with, I'd highly recommend this chair. In fact, my experience has been so good that I'm going to purchase another Haworth (perhaps the Soji) for my at-home setup and take this one to the office.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Zody Upholstered Office Chair! It's great to hear that the chair has been able to relieve your lower back pain and accommodate your specific needs. We're glad the features such as the forward tilt, lumbar support, and flexible armrests have been helpful for you. We appreciate your feedback on the seat firmness and height, and we will definitely take it into consideration for future improvements. Thank you for choosing our Zody and we hope it continues to provide you with comfortable support. Have a great day!

Comfort. Easy to adjust. Tension adjustment to stay up works well. Great chair.

This chair is everything I wanted.

It has everything I want in an office chair. It’s built like a tank, it has lots of adjustability, comfortable, and looks very nice. It’s perfect with my stand-up desk. As expected, the seat cushion is firm but it’s softening up. I know from experience a super-soft seat cushion will compress flat over a short time.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Zody Upholstered Office Chair. We are so happy to hear that it has exceeded your expectations and has everything you need in an office chair. We take pride in its durability, adjustability, and sleek design. We're glad it pairs well with your stand-up desk. As for the seat cushion, it may take some time to soften up, but we assure you it will still provide the necessary support. Thank you for choosing our Zody!

Feels AND looks incredible.

Prior to getting the Zody chair, I was sitting in the world's worst office chair. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was a dining room table chair.

Over the years, I have developed upper back and neck issues partially due to poor alignment and posture along with being a new mom. Double whammy.

Thankfully, I am now sitting in a chair that is the polar opposite of what I used to sit in. Zody for the win!

I love many things about this chair, but I think what I obsess over most, is the lower lumbar support that I so lacked in my previous chair. The Zody literally lifts me from my lower spine and encourages me to sit up tall with my core engaged. It is a total game-changer.

The armrests aid in the sophistication of this chair as well. Another detail my former chair lacked - armrests. What a difference they make! They specifically keep my upper body more engaged when on Zoom calls and while podcasting.

The swivel and wheels are a lovely addition. I can easily turn and reach for things which also supports my overall physical well-being. It's the little things.

Aesthetically, I worship this chair. It's a looker and works beautifully with my Haworth Upside Sit-to-Stand Desk. It finally looks like I have a grown-up office and not a college dorm one anymore. I'm 41 btw, lol.

I highly recommend the Zody chair. It's an all-around supportive and stunning piece of office furniture.
