How to Adjust & Care For Fern
  • Vacuum your chair as needed.
  • For additional cleaning, use a solution of lukewarm water and mild detergent (about 10%). Gently apply in a circular motion, then rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.

Materials

Choose from breathable mesh, our zero-waste digital knit, or soft vegan leather. Mesh lets air pass through to naturally regulate body temperature. Our signature digital knit is knit to fit each chair using custom-fiber fabric. For a luxe look, choose our semi-aniline leather — it’s soft, durable, and easy to clean.

Lumbar

Cradle your lower back with Fern’s built-in support. Or add even more with an optional adjustment that moves in a 3.5" range.

Forward Tilt

Angle the seat downward by 5° to support a forward-leaning posture — perfect for focused tasks. 

Seat Height

Adjust the seat up and down depending on your height. Your knees should be at a 90° angle with your feet flat on the floor.

Tilt Tension

Adjust how much force is necessary to recline in your chair.

Absolutely met my expectations

This chair checked all of the boxes for me. 5’10” 185 lbs athletic build, this chair is absolutely a dream. Solid armrests. Adjustability. Comfort. I thought the highly adjustable arms would be too loose and that I’d unwillingly adjust them when simply adjusting readjusting my body position, nope, not at all. Highly recommend.

Easy choice

I purchased a steel case after exhaustive research. After using it for a couple weeks, I went to my home office in Chicago where I sat in a fern. It was immediately clear to me that I made a bad choice and returning the steel case and buying the fern was necessary. I am so happy my employer had the fern so I was able to experience the comparison. Love my fern!

Love my Fern

Love the chair! Upgraded the the 4d arm rests but the fact they constantly move, I find annoying, but outside of that option I selected as an extra, amazing chair and worth the $!
