Warranty & Care

Two-year warranty.

Matek® offers a strong durable surface. It is easy to clean and requires very little maintenance.

For daily care it is recommended to dust the surface with a soft cloth. The surface can be cleaned with a soft cloth wrung in a mild solution of lukewarm water and a universal cleaning detergent.

Avoid use of abrasive cleaning agents and aggressive cleaning detergents as this might damage the surface. Avoid placing furniture in direct sunlight, excessive heat or humidity. For table tops we always recommend use of trivets under hot objects, such as coffee pots and cups to prevent damages on the surface.

Meet Mater

Innovative Danish brand Mater reuses everything from coffee shells to plastic waste to create their sustainable designs. Based in Copenhagen since 2006, they’ve long championed an approach to manufacturing that prioritizes minimal environmental impact. Their name means “mother” in Latin, signaling a promise to honor Mother Earth through high-quality pieces with timeless simplicity.

The Future of Furniture

Through years of research and testing, Mater invented Matek® — a unique, patented material that enables the brand to make furniture from waste materials. Matek offers unprecedented tactility and materiality with features that resemble timeless materials like stone, terrazzo, or even marble. It’s water-repellent and highly durable, and considered to be a material in line with wood, stone, or any other raw material.

The Eternity Collection

Comfort, functionality, and durability make this collection of chairs ideal for a living space at home or a busy area in a business. Sculptural and bold, the shells are made with Matek®, and the aesthetic is designed to fit a range of styles. Eternity is available as a side chair, armchair, swivel chair, or high stool.

Designer Spotlight

Established in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou, Space Copenhagen is a design studio that works across multiple disciplines. They call their approach “poetic modernism,” with an ambition to forge new paths by balancing opposites — classic and modern, industrial and organic, sculptural and minimal, light and shade. The studio’s intuitive approach embodies designs that are distinctively shaped by given circumstances, functional needs, and a fundamental interest in human behavior.
