How to Adjust & Care for Soji
Content: Care
  • Vacuum your chair as needed.
  • For additional cleaning, use a solution of lukewarm water and mild detergent (about 10%). Gently apply in a circular motion, then rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.

Lumbar

Cradle your back with Soji’s built-in support. Or add even more with an optional adjustment that moves in a 3.5" range. 

Forward Tilt 

Angle the seat downward by 5° to support a forward-leaning posture — perfect for focused tasks.

4D Arms

Move each side up and down, side to side, front to back, and in and out to support your neck and shoulders.

Seat Height

Adjust the seat up or down depending on your height. Your knees should be at a 90° angle with your feet flat on the floor.

Tilt Tension

Adjust how much force is necessary to recline in your chair.

With or without the optional lumbar support, Soji curves along your lower back to reduce strain and fatigue. The profile of the chair echoes the natural curves of your spine, and you’ll notice right away when you sit down that the support feels natural and easy.

Intuitive Adjustments

With 4.6" height adjustment and 2.5" seat depth adjustment, you’ll find just the right position for your height, size, and overall preference. To find the right adjustment, sit with your feet flat on the floor and your knees at a 90° angle. Maintain an elbow angle between 70° and 120° and try to keep your wrists straight.

Genuinely Sustainable

Soji is over 60% recyclable. That means the majority of the chair can be broken down to be recycled — and it’s designed for easy disassembly, so recycling is hassle free. Additionally, we don’t use PVC, heavy metals, or flame retardants to make any of our chairs.

You seem to get what you pay for

I previously had a chair with a mesh seat and it stretched so I was basically sitting on the parts underneath. This is a huge upgrade.

Comfortable and Well-Made Chair

The first order that I placed didn't come through because of the fabric supply shortage, so the initial communication and impression were definitely not great with Haworth. However, I still decided to give it a second try so I ordered a different color but still was skeptical of whether the quality of the chair and the service could meet the requirements. After receiving the Soji chair, I was definitely amazed by how solid it is and I love that it's pre-assembled because I am not good at assembling. Overall, the product itself is of really high quality and it speaks for itself, but the service and communication could be better.

This is NOT a fake review, I’m a real customer, and I LOVE THIS CHAIR!

I shopped for chairs for months, sorting through ads and reviews for secret labs and Herman miller chairs, several Amazon chairs and some steelcase. I decided on this Soji for the price at $441. Right after I ordered, it went on sale for $374 and Haworth honored the new price with NO FUSS! Incredible support.

For the chair itself, it’s very comfortable. I’d recommend paying the extra money for the back support that I didn’t get, but the seat is very well made, and very adjustable. The arm rests are a little bit flimsy, but are also adjustable. The chair is heavy, solid built, and came preassembled. I’m very satisfied!
