To create Fern, our designers partnered with the Human Performance Institute at Western Michigan University, where we conducted comfort studies with experts in biomechanics, physical therapy, and kinesiology.

- Seat height adjusts from 16.5" to 21.5"
XAdjust the seat up and down depending on your height.
- 4D Arms
X4D arms adjust up and down, side to side, front to back, and pivot in and out to support your neck and shoulders.
- 3" seat depth adjustment
XSeat depth adjusts 3" front to back to support your upper legs and relieve pressure on the backs of your knees.
- Back stop comfortably limits how much you can recline
XBack stop lets you choose an upright position or limit how much you can recline.
- Forward tilt lets you easily adjust your posture
XAngle the seat downward by 5° to support a forward-leaning posture.
- Optional height-adjustable lumbar adds additional firm support
XFern’s design naturally offers built-in support for your lumbar. This option adds an additional adjustment that moves up and down in a 3.5" range.
- Tilt tension control for supportive reclining
XAdjust how much force is necessary to recline in your chair.
- Soft casters
XSoft casters are best for multi-surface floors, including hardwood or laminate. Hard casters are best for carpeted floors or rugs.

Very pleased with the Fern chair so far. I have never bought a chair over $200 before so this was quite the jump. It has all the adjustment you could want and is very comfortable. Im sure it will last a very long time.

I purchased the Xbox chair because it was well equipped, had the leather seat with a fabric back, and it was on sale. This chair is worth every penny it costs in comfort, and ergonomics. I find that the adjustable arms do take the stress out of my neck and shoulders from working with a keyboard. I added a wave keyboard which the chair works great with it. I’m not one for corporate logo’s but the ones on this chair are not obnoxious. I am getting wise cracks about appearance of mid-day gaming from co-workers but they’re just jealous I bought my own chair for work. Nothing worse than having to sit in a lousy chair at a keyboard all day. I highly recommend this chair if you’re ready to step up to new a comfort level.
