The Su Collection follows the Japanese aesthetic of su — meaning plain or unadorned — with the idea that simplicity is not only modest, but could possibly be more appealing than luxury. It embodies the spirit of Emeco, both in form and choice of materials.
All Emeco products are made with an average of 90% recycled materials that are 100% recyclable. That means almost the entire thing can be broken down to be recycled.
Tested to meet stringent standards restricting volatile organic compounds.
Satisfies the most stringent level of environmental standards from the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association.
Nendo is a Japanese design firm founded by Oki Sato in 2002. Their Su Collection for Emeco embraces new, surprising, eco-conscious materials, discovered through an ongoing exploration of eco-conscious resources, such as eco-concrete, reclaimed barn wood, cork, and recycled plastic.

Clean aluminum bases with soap and water. Dry with a soft cloth. You can also use Windex®, Formula 409® or similar spray cleaner, with or without bleach, followed by a lint-free towel. Hydrogen peroxide-based cleaners may also be used, dilution level 1:10. Wash any film or residue with hot water. Do not use stainless steel cleaner on any aluminum furniture. For heavy-duty dirt or oil, use very hot water and strong soap, followed by light scrubbing in the direction of the aluminum grain with a soft-bristled brush or damp Scotch-Brite® pad.
Anodized aluminum is corrosion-proof and can be used outdoors. However, we suggest cleaning the base with soap and water every two weeks to remove grit and other air pollutants that can pit the surface.
Clean reclaimed wood bases with a warm, soapy, damp cloth gently applied to the surface. Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaning agents. Periodic use of high-quality furniture polish is recommended.
